The active ingredient is: diclofenac-n-ethyllethanamine 11.6 mg in 1 g gel (corresponding to 10mg diclofenac sodium).

The other components are: cleaned water; 2-propanol; Propylene glycol; Cocylcaprylocrat (Ph.Eur.); Paraffin; Cetomacrogol; Carbomer 974 P; N-ethyllethanamine; Perfum cream (contains benzylbenzoat)

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, the product should not be used, or for other medicines for the treatment of pain, fever or inflammation, such as ibuprofen or acetylsalicylic acid (an active ingredient that is used, among others).
Patients who are sensitive to acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs must not apply the product.
If a rash occurs during treatment with Voltaren pain gel, end the treatment. It should be ensured that children with their hands do not get in touch with grated skin areas.
The product must not be used for open injuries, inflammation or infections of the skin, as well as eczema or mucous membranes, during pregnancy and in children and adolescents under the age of 14.

Application recommendation of Voltaren Pain gel 11.6 mg/g gel with diclofenac (pack size: 180 g):

Dosage and duration of the application.
Apply Voltaren Pain gel depending on the pain intensity three to four times a day. Depending on the size of the painful area to be treated, a cherry to walnut-sized amount is required. Then wash your hands. Before the area is covered with clothing, the gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes.

The gel can be used over a period of up to three weeks, each dependent from the underlying disease. If the symptoms have not improved or even worsened after three to five days, a visit to the doctor is advisable.

Taking

• Apply the gel to the affected body region thinly and rub it in slightly.

  • If the preparation is applied extensively to the skin and applied over a longer period of time, the occurrence of side effects that affect a certain organ system or the entire organism cannot be ruled out. These side effects are comparable to those that may occur when taking other diclofenac-containing medicines.

  • In the event of complaints that have not improved or worsened after 3-5 days, a doctor should be consulted.
  • If you are at asthma, hay fever or nasal mucosa swelling (so -called. Nasal polyps) or chronic bronchia-conscuiting (obstructive) lung diseases, chronic respiratory infections (particularly coupled with hay fever-like phenomena) or hypersensitivity to other pain and rheumatism. • Breastfeeding
