Application instructions

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Type of application?
Apply the medicine to a clean, dry and unbroken area of skin. Avoid accidental contact with mucous membranes, eyes and open skin areas. The patch should not be divided.

Duration of application?
The medicine should be used for the shortest possible period of time. The maximum duration of use should not exceed 7 days. If you have long-lasting or recurring symptoms, you should consult your doctor.

Overdose?

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory at the same time. The drug also has antirheumatic properties. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, so-called prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.

How do Voltaren pain patches work?
The Voltaren pain patch is a patch containing active ingredients that is suitable for 12-hour use. The active ingredient diclofenac is continuously released at the painful area and penetrates deep into the tissue. There, diclofenac not only relieves pain, but also fights inflammation - one of the main causes of pain.

When do I use Voltaren pain patches?
Voltaren pain patch is used in adults and adolescents aged 16 and over for the local, symptomatic short-term treatment of pain from acute strains, sprains or bruises on the arms and legs as a result of a blunt injury, e.g. a sports injury.

Application
Simply stick the plaster on the painful joint or affected area. The maximum daily dose is two medicated plasters, even if more than one injured area needs to be treated. For this reason, only one painful area can be treated at a time.
