Instructions for use

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

How should it be used?
Instill the medicine into the conjunctival sac of the eye(s). Tilt your head back for application. After instilling the drops, slowly close your eye and gently press your finger on the tear duct between the nose and inner eyelid.

Duration of use?
Once symptoms are gone, the duration of use should be continued at least as long as you are exposed to the allergens (pollen, house dust, mold spores, etc.). However, as with any self-treatment, long-term treatment should not be undertaken without medical supervision

Overdose?
No symptoms of overdose are known. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

In general, pay careful attention to the dosage, especially for infants, small children, and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any side effects or precautions.

Mode of action

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

The active ingredient protects against allergic reactions of the mucous membranes by stabilizing the outer membrane of certain cells, so-called mast cells. When foreign substances such as pollen or animal dander enter the body and attach themselves to the membrane of a mast cell, it opens, and a multitude of endogenous messenger substances are released. These messenger substances activate the body's defense mechanisms, and the affected mucous membranes subsequently become inflamed. Cromoglicic acid prevents this release.
However, its effect can only be used preventively; an acute attack cannot be treated with the substance.

Active ingredient: Cromoglicic acid
The active ingredient sodium cromoglicate contained in Vividrin^® iso EDO^® is used to treat allergic reactions, for example, to relieve the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. The antiallergic drug belongs to the so-called mast cell stabilizers and inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators, such as histamine and leukotrienes.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Carefully separate a single-dose Ophtiole from the strip. Twist (do not pull) off the cap. Tilt your head slightly back. With a finger of your free hand, gently pull down the lower eyelid. Hold the single-dose Ophtiole vertically over your open eye. Avoid touching the surface of your eye with the dropper tip to prevent possible injury and damage to the eye. Gently squeeze the single-dose Ophtiole and inject one drop into your eye. Close your eye, gently move it to the right and left, and blink to distribute the drops evenly over the surface of the eye.

Remove contact lenses before applying the drops after consulting a doctor and reinsert them after 15 minutes.
