Application areas:

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients listed above, the product should not be used.

Recommended use of Vitaprompt 1000 micrograms film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pieces):

The usual dose is 1 film-coated tablet per day, preferably on an empty stomach.
In the case of pernicious anemia and diseases of the nervous system, treatment must initially be by infusion/injection until the blood values have normalised.

Swallow the film-coated tablet with 1/2 glass of water.

Vitaprompt 1000 micrograms film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pieces) is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Patient notes

Vitaprompt 1000 micrograms film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pieces) must not be used to treat megaloblastic anemia caused exclusively by folic acid deficiency. Vitaprompt 1000 micrograms film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pieces) must not be used in patients who have to undergo cyanide detoxification (e.g. patients with retrobulbar neuritis in pernicious anemia). In these cases, another cobalamin derivative must be administered. Patients with vitamin B12 deficiency and at risk for Leber's hereditary optic nerve atrophy should not receive cyanocobalamin to treat their vitamin B12 deficiency. Vitaprompt 1000 micrograms film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pieces) must not be used in patients with tobacco or alcohol amblyopia
