dosage
- Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
- Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is
- Initial dose 1 tablet (corresponding to 200 mg vitamin B1) daily, in rare cases more.
- (Subsequent) further treatment also with 1 tablet (corresponding to 200 mg vitamin B1) daily.

- Man should consume vitamin B1 in sufficient quantities every day.
- Vitamin B1 is located in small quantities in all vegetable and animal food. A lot of vitamin B1 can be found in brewer's yeast, pork, wheat bran, oatmeal, pistachios and whole grain products.
- Vitamin B1 deficiency can occur after a long time
- in the event of deficiency and malnutrition
- one -sided nutrition (e.g. in alcoholics with serious health consequences)
- pathological absorption disorders of nutrients in the intestine
- artificial nutrition through infusions (so -called drip) because the patient cannot eat food through the mouth
- with increased needs and
- for hemodialysis (so -called blood wash, e.g. B. in kidney failure)
Pregnancy
- During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the daily vitamin requirement should be ensured with a balanced diet. This medicine (due to its amount of active ingredient) is only useful for the treatment of a lack of vitamin and may only be taken by the doctor after careful benefits/risk assessment. There are no systematic studies on taking the preparation during pregnancy.
- Vitamin B1 passes into breast milk.

Occurrence and covers of demand for vitamin B1:
- Vitamin B1 is widespread in its biologically active form as a thiamin pyrophosphate in the plant and animal kingdom.
- Plants and some microorganisms are independent of vitamin B1. Man has to absorb vitamin B1 through food.
- In particular, vitamin B1-rich foods are beer yeast (15.6mg vitamin B1/100g), pork (0.9mg vitamin B1/100g), wheat bran (0.7mg vitamin B1/100g), pistachia (0.6mg vitamin B1/100g) and whole grain flour (approx. 0.5 mg vitamin B1/100g).
- Due to a high degradation rate and limited storage, vitamin B1 must be absorbed in sufficient quantities every day to cover the need.
- The total body of vitamin B1 is approx. 30mg. Of this there are approximately 40% in the muscles.
- To avoid a defect, a daily vitamin B1 intake for men between 1.3 and 1.5 mg per day is recommended and for women between 1.1 and 1.3mg per day. During pregnancy, an allowance of 0.3mg per day and 0.5 mg per day is required.

- Gastrointestinal complaints
- Heart problems
In the case of chronic alcohol abuse, vitamin B1 deficiency can contribute to cardiac muscle diseases with the extension of the right-wing cardiac chamber.
There are indications of vitamin B1 deficiency, among other things, lower vitamin B1 values in the blood and in the blood cells.
