Field of use

Vertigo vomex SR (pack size: 20 pc) are a remedy for dizziness from the group of H1 antihistamines. Vertigo-vomex SR retard capsules are taken for symptomatic treatment of older patients with dizziness of different origin. If you don't feel better or worse after 14 days, contact your doctor.

The active ingredient is: dimen hydrinate

1 hard capsule, retarded, contains 120 mg dimen hydrinate.

The other components are: Talcum, sucrose, corn starch, shellac, povidon k 30, titanium dioxide, gelatin, quinolingelb, indigocarmine, erythrosine

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.

Application recommendation of Vertigo-vomex SR (pack size: 20 pc):

The recommended dose is:
Another hard capsule in the morning and, if necessary, retarded (corresponding to 120 mg or 240 mg dimen hydrinate per day).
Within 24 hours-if possible, 8 hours away-up to three hard capsules can be taken retarded (corresponding to 360 mg of dimen hydrinate per day).

Vertigo-vomex® SR retard capsules are to be chewed and taken with plenty of liquid.

Vertigo-vomex® SR retard capsules, unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, are only intended for short-term application. A doctor should therefore be consulted with persistent symptoms. After 2 weeks of treatment at the latest, your doctor should check whether treatment with Vertigo-vomex® SR retard capsules is still required.

Taking

• The retard capsules are to be unscrewed and with plenty of liquid.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the preparation
    • limited liver function,
    • Heart rhythm disorders (e.g. Heart),
    • Potassium or magnesium deficiency,
    • slow heartbeat (bradycardia)
    • certain heart diseases (renes QT syndrome or other clinically significant heart damage, in particular circulatory disorders of the coronary arteries, arousal disorders, arrhythmias),
    • simultaneous use of medicines that also extend the so-called QT interval in the EKG or lead to hypocalaemia,
    • chronic breathing difficulties and asthma,
    • Consequence at the output of the stomach (pylorus stenosis).
  • Children and adolescents
    • The medicine must not be used in children under the age of 14.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • Sleepiness, memory disorders and reduced ability to concentrate can have a negative impact on the ability to drive or the ability to work with machines. This applies in particular to inadequate sleeping time, when treating treatment and preparation change as well as in interaction with alcohol.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
• Pregnancy
  • Dimenhydrinate, the active ingredient of the preparation, can lead to triggering premature labor. The safety of an application during pregnancy is not proven. A risk cannot be ruled out for dimen hydrinate due to clinical data. You may only take the preparation after consulting your doctor and only if he considers an intake necessary.
• Breastfeeding
  • Dimenhydrinate, the active ingredient of the drug merges into breast milk. The safety of an application during breastfeeding is not proven. Since unwanted effects, such as increased unrest not to be excluded to the breastfed child, they should either not apply the retard capsules during breastfeeding or weaned in the period of use.

Hints

Vertigo-vomex® SR retard capsules must not be used in children under the age of 14.

Miscellaneous

- After a long -term daily application, sudden termination of treatment can temporarily occur sleep disorders. Therefore, in these cases, treatment should be ended by gradually reducing the quantity.- As with other medicinal products of this type, the development of medication dependence cannot be ruled out in the case of long-term treatment. For this reason, a strict benefit-risk assessment should take place. - After using the drug, the skin has been reported on sensitivity to light, so direct sunlight should be avoided. - Sleepiness, memory disorders and reduced ability to concentrate can have a negative impact on the ability to drive or the ability to work with machines. This applies to a particular extent after inadequate sleeping time, when treating treatment and preparation change as well as in cooperation with alcohol.- During the treatment, no alcohol should be drunk, since alcohol can change and intensify the effects of inevitable manner. The ability to travel and the ability to serve machines is also further impaired.
