Application Veroval®

Creating the blood pressure monitor
The measurement must be carried out on the undressed wrist. The cuff should not be created via a highly protruding handbone, otherwise it will not be evenly lying around the wrist. The device is firmly connected to the cuff and the cuff must not be removed from the device.
Now put the cuff over the wrist. The blood pressure monitor is positioned in the middle of the inside of the wrist approx. 1-1.5 cm from the hand root.

Implementation of the measurement
The measurement should be carried out in a quiet place, in a relaxed and convenient seating position.
The measurement can be carried out on the right or left wrist. We recommend carrying out the measurement on the left wrist. In the long term, it should be measured on the wrist, which shows the higher results. However, if there is a very clear difference between the values of the wrists, you will clarify with your doctor which wrist you use for the measurement.

Measurement of blood pressure
The 10 golden rules for blood pressure measurement
Many factors play a role in blood pressure measurements. These ten general rules help you to correctly carry out the measurement.

• 1. Keep calm about 5 minutes before the measurement. Even desk work increases blood pressure on average by approx. 6 mmHg systolic and 5 mmHg diastolic.
• 2. Close nicotine and no coffee up to an hour before the measurement.
• 3. Measure not under a strong urge to urinate. A filled bladder can lead to an increase in blood pressure of approx. 10 mmHg.
• 4. Measure the completely undressed upper arm and in an upright, comfortable attitude while sitting. The blood circulation must not be done by z. B. rolled up sleeves.
• 5. If you use a wrist measuring device, please keep the cuff at heart height during the measurement. With an upper arm measuring device, the cuff on the arm is automatically at the right height.
• 6Thnot speak and do not move the measurement. Speaking increases the values of approx. 6–7 mmHg.
• 7. Wait two measurements at least one minute between two measurements so that the vessels for a new measurement are relieved of the pressure.
• 8. Measurement values always document with the date and time as well as with the medication taken, conveniently and easily with Veroval Medi.Connect.
• Measure 9. Even if your values have improved, you should continue to check them yourself for control.
• 10. Measure at the same time. Since people have around 100,000 different blood pressure values every day, individual measurements have no meaning. Only regular measurements at the same time over a longer period of time enable a sensible assessment of the blood pressure values.
