Field of use

In Germany, many millions of women are affected by a bacterial infection of the vagina every year, some even several times a year. A healthy vaginal flora is natural protection against infections. The settled lactic acid bacteria (lactobacilli) ensure acidic milieu that inhibits the growth of pathogens. If the vaginal flora gets out of balance, harmful bacteria can multiply. In this case, doctors speak of bacterial vaginosis, which sometimes goes hand in hand with an uncomfortably smelling outflow and often also with itching and burning. To strengthen vaginal flora and restore the acid milieus, the treatment with Vagi-C ® vaginal tablets has proven itself. The drug for intravaginal use is also suitable for the treatment of recurring vaginal infections and can be used in chronic infection.

Mode of action

Vagi C vaginal tablets (pack size: 6 pc) contains vitamin C, which can influence the milieu in the vagina due to its special preparation as a vaginal tablet. Harmful germs are prevented from growth and lactic acid bacteria flora is stabilized by restoring the natural pH value. Vitamin C is a natural active ingredient that occurs in the human body. It can therefore also be used for a long time.

Contradictions

Must not be used:
- If you are hypersensitive (allergic) against ascorbic acid or one of the other components.
- If you suffer from fungal infections in the genital area. Here the acidification of the vagina does not bring any advantages, but rather can increase the symptoms, since mushrooms grow quite well in the acidic milieu.

dosage

Vagi C vaginal tablets (pack size: 6 pc) are only intended for intravaginal use! Unless prescribed differently, a vaginal tablet is inserted deep into the vagina once a day before going to bed. The duration of use depends on the type and severity of the disease. To normalize the pH value of the vaginal flora, the medicine should be used for at least six days.

Patient information

Vitamin C falsifies the enzymatic glucose determination in the urine, as well as serum transaminase determination, lactate dehydrogenase determination and serumbilirubin determination. It is not necessary to interrupt the application due to bleeding or period bleeding. Other basic diseases or systemic infectious diseases are not a contraindication for the application. On the contrary, an additional supply of vitamin C can even be desired because the need of the organism is higher in stressful situations. Store drug out of reach of children.

Pregnancy

Exaggerated hygiene
Exaggerated vaginal hygiene, e.g. B. by intimate showers can have a disadvantage on the vaginal milieu, since good lactic acid bacteria are also washed out.

Hormone change
Hormonal changes in pregnancy or menopause bring the milieu out of balance in the vagina. This often also applies during and immediately after menstruation.

In the case of diseases
When taking antibiotics, not only harmful bacteria, but also good lactobacilli are killed. This can bring the vaginal flora out of balance.
