Application areas:

The antispasmodic properties of Tannacomp^® are particularly noteworthy – after all, diarrhea and abdominal cramps often go hand in hand.

Good to know:
Normal intestinal movement is not affected by Tannacomp^® , so that the pathogens can continue to be excreted from the intestine. This is a particular advantage over drugs from the group of so-called "motility inhibitors" such as loperamide.

Tannacomp^® is suitable for adults and children over the age of 5 and can also be used to treat travelers' diarrhea. Tannacomp^® is approved for adults to prevent travelers' diarrhea.

Natural tannin: The active protection principle
Tannin (tannin albuminate) acts directly where the diarrhea can be stopped most efficiently: on the intestinal wall itself. In this context, experts speak of the "active protection principle": tannin lays like a protective film on the irritated mucous membrane and seals it . The extreme infiltration of water into the intestine is prevented and the intestinal function is normalized. This will stop the diarrhea.

Ethacridine: Antibacterial and antispasmodic
Ethacridine (ethacridine lactate) completes the comprehensive range of effects of Tannacomp^® . Ethacridine has antibacterial properties and has a disinfecting effect. It inhibits the growth of harmful germs and pathogens. Ethacridine also has an antispasmodic effect, so that abdominal cramps can be relieved quickly.

Ingestion and dosage of Tannacomp^®

Always take Tannacomp^® exactly as directed on the package leaflet. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The dose and frequency of administration depend on the severity of the diarrhea. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Children 5 - 14 years: 1 film-coated tablet 3 to 4 times a day
Adults and adolescents over 15 years: 1-2 film-coated tablets 4 times a day
Adults for prevention: 1 film-coated tablet 2 times a day

In principle, Tannacomp^® should be taken regularly until the diarrhea has subsided. If you do not feel better after 3-4 days, contact your doctor.

The film-coated tablets are taken with sufficient liquid before or with meals. If necessary, you can also crush the film-coated tablets and mix them with food or drinks.

My old family doctor had already recommended Tannacomp to me, saying that it doesn't affect the intestines even with frequent use because it is built on a natural basis.

I have been taking this product for almost 2 years, it was recommended to me by my family doctor, at the beginning it was an intestinal inflammation, now it has become intolerance. Half an hour and the whole thing stops, I only take half a tablet, unfortunately I don't have a stool for a few days afterwards.
