How to use?
Prepare the tea and drink it immediately. Pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over the tea and let the infusion steep for approximately 10 minutes.
Or: Prepare the medicine and rinse your mouth with it.
Or: Prepare the medicine and gargle with it.
Or: Prepare the medicine and place the compress on the affected area(s) of the body.
Pour cold water (approx. 150 ml) over the tea and let it stand for 1-2 hours, stirring frequently.

Duration of Use?
You should not use this medicine for longer than 1 week without medical advice. If symptoms persist or recur regularly, you should consult your doctor.

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The ingredients come from the ribwort plantain plant and act as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:
- Appearance: Herbaceous plant with leaves arranged in a rosette at the base and a 10-50 cm long stem and a small ear emerging from the center.
- Occurrence: Worldwide, in cool temperate zones
- Main ingredients: Mucilage, aucubin (bitter substance), tannins
- Plant parts and preparations used: Extracts, tinctures, syrup, and pressed juice from leaves, flowers, stems, and herb
Used both internally and externally, ribwort plantain has anti-irritant, astringent, and germicidal effects, which are due, among other things, to the tannins and bitter substances. Ribwort plantain also promotes expectoration and has an antispasmodic effect in the bronchi. The mucous substances form a protective layer on the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, thus keeping irritation at bay and inhibiting dry coughs locally.

Herbal remedy for the treatment of respiratory diseases as well as for mouth and throat remedies. The medicinal tea is used internally for catarrh of the respiratory tract and inflammatory changes in the oral and pharyngeal mucosa. It is used externally for inflammatory changes in the skin.

Composition:
1 tea bag (= 1.4 g) of medicinal tea contains the active ingredient: 1.4 g of ribwort plantain leaves.

Contraindications

Dosage

Recommended use of SPITZWEGERICHBLÄTTER BOMBASTUS (Pack size: 75 g):

Unless otherwise prescribed, for catarrh of the respiratory tract, drink 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows 3 to 4 times daily: Pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over 2 teaspoons (approx. 1.4 g) of ribwort plantain leaves and strain through a tea strainer after about 10 to 15 minutes.

For rinsing or gargling, as well as for preparing compresses, prepare a cold infusion 3 to 4 times daily in the specified amount or in the required multiple: Pour 2 teaspoons (approx. 1.4 g) of ribwort plantain leaves into cold water (approx. 150 ml), let stand for 1 to 2 hours, stirring frequently, and then strain through a tea strainer.

For acute symptoms that last longer than 1 week or recur periodically, consultation with a physician is recommended.
