Organic spermidine from 100% organic wheat germ powder

Wheat germ – a natural source of spermidine Avitale BIO SPERMIDIN is made from freshly harvested wheat germ from controlled organic cultivation. It naturally contains spermidine, which is obtained from the small seedlings of the wheat grain.

The valuable ingredient spermidine is a biogenic polyamine, an organic compound that occurs in every cell in the body. Spermidine is formed by the human body itself, and it is also produced by the naturally occurring bacteria in the human intestine. The body's production of spermidine decreases with age. It can therefore make nutritional sense to supply the body with spermidine by means of appropriate foods or dietary supplements.

Particularly high concentrations of spermidine are found in wheat germ. But spermidine can also be found, for example, in mature cheese such as Parmesan, some types of mushrooms and legumes.
