Field of use

• The medicine belongs to a group of drugs that alleviate and prevent muscle cramps. It contains a antispasmodic ingredient that inhibits the contractions in the urinary tract, which reduces urine symptoms and associated pain.
• The symptomatic treatment of urinary tract symptoms is used:
  • Difficulties in urination (delayed urination) to leave sudden need water (urge to urinate), a much more frequent need water (increased frequency), also at night (nykturia), above the pubic bone (suprapubic) bladder pain and unwanted loss of urine (incontinence).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are hypersensitive to flavoxathydrochloride or one of the other components,
  • if you suffer from a gastrointestinal disease that affects the normal nutritional passage (obstruction).
  • if you suffer from a gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • if you suffer from a muscular -related swallowing disorder (Achalasia).
  • if you cannot completely empty your bladder (urinary retention).
  • if they are treated because of an eye disease called glaucoma (green star).
  • if you suffer from an illness that causes a general weakness and tiresability of the muscles (myasthenia gravis).

dosage

• Please always take the medicine exactly as described or after instruction from the doctor or pharmacist. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• The recommended dose is a 200 mg film-coated tablet three to four times a day.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should:
  • If you have accidentally taken too many film -coated tablets, contact your doctor or a hospital immediately.

 

• If you forgot to take the drug:
  • If you have forgotten a dose, don't worry and simply take the next dose at the usual time.
  • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

Taking

• Do not break the film tablet, but swallow them as a whole, preferably with a glass of water.

- The drug is not indicated when urge to urinate and frequently emptying small amounts of urine caused by cardiac or kidney disease.
