Field of use

Soledum Balsam 15% solution (pack size: 50 ml) is a medicine for supporting use for diseases of the airways. Soledum Balsam 15% solution (package size: 50 ml) serves to improve the condition in the case of colds of the upper air paths (e.g. uncomplicated runny nose, hoarseness, uncomplicated bronchial catarrh, uncomplicated raissella catarrh). Soledum Balsam 15% solution (pack size: 50 ml) is only intended for external use (inhalation, rubbed) and must not be taken!

Contradictions

Inhalation:

Pregnancy

There are no scientific studies on the use of pregnant women. If you are pregnant, you should only use the medicine after consultation with your doctor.
In animal experimental studies on rats, Cineol, the active ingredient of the drug, passes the placenta and reaches the fetus, but the previously available animal experimental data gave no indication of the occurrence of malformations.

Still -time: Due to the fat -soluble properties of the active ingredient, transition to breast milk cannot be excluded. However, there are no systematic examinations, especially with regard to the possible occurrence of unwanted drug effects. Essential oils can change the taste of the milk and lead to drinking problems.
During the breastfeeding period, the drug is not to be applied in the area of the breast to avoid the contact of the infant or toddler with the preparation. The medicine should only be used after consultation with your doctor during breastfeeding.

Based on investigations, there are no concerns about the use of Soledum balsam during pregnancy. The use of Soledum balm in the first third of pregnancy should be omitted from general security considerations.
Cineol does not move into breast milk. Soledum Balsam should not be applied during breastfeeding in the area of the chest.
In infants and toddlers Soledum balm must not be applied in the area of the face, especially the nose.
