Field of use

Simagel (pack size: 100 pc) chewing tablets are used to bind excess stomach acid. Diseases in which the stomach acid is to be bound, such as heartburn, acid-related stomach complaints as well as stomach or duodenal intestine ulcers can be treated with Simagel (pack size: 100 pc) chewing tablets.

Mode of action

The active ingredient almasilate contained in Simagel (pack size: 100 pcs) chewing tablets binds and neutralized excess stomach acid. Almasilate, together with the stomach acid, forms heavily soluble salts, which are excreted through bowel movements. This prevents almasilate from acidification of the stomach.

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients and in children under 12 years, Simagel (pack size: 100 pc) should not be used. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, with intolerance of certain sugar and with restricted kidney function, a doctor must be consulted before taking Simagel (pack size: 100 pc).

dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, you take 1 - 2 Simagel (package size: 100 pc) chewing tablets several times a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 14 Simagel (pack size: 100 pc) chewing tablets. Take Simagel (pack size: 100 pc) chewing tablets between meals and before going to sleep. Chew Simagel (pack size: 100 pc) chewing tablets thoroughly. Note that the intake of other medication should generally be taken 1-2 hours before or after taking Simagel (pack size: 100 pc) chewing tablets.

Taking

• The chewing tablets are taken several times a day between meals and before going to bed.
• They should be chewed well. Then drink a glass of water.
• Other medicines should generally take place 1 to 2 hours before or after taking the preparation.

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine,
    • if your kidney function is restricted (creatinine clearance < 30 ml/min)
    • if you adhere to a low -phosphate diet
    • with long -term use.
  • Longer -lasting and recurring stomach complaints can be signs of a serious illness, such as: B. a stomach or duodenal ulcer. Treatment should therefore not take longer than 14 days without a medical examination. A doctor must be consulted immediately if the tea chair appears, blood diploma in the stool or vomiting of blood.
  • If you suffer from ulcers in the stomach or duodenum, an examination on heliobacter pylori - and in the event of proof - should be considered combating the pathogen, since the ulcer disease usually heals when the stomach germs are successfully eliminated.
  • If you suffer from kidney or liver disease, Sout to see your doctor before taking the preparation. This must regularly check the aluminum levels and excretion in order to recognize or prevent possible aluminum storage into the tissue and its consequences (e.g. bone damage, brain damage). If you belong to these patients, you may not take the preparation in high doses in the long term.
  • In patients with restricted kidney function (creatinine clearance < 30 ml/min) and long-term use, regular control of aluminum and magnesium levels is required by your doctor. The aluminum blood level should not exceed 40 µg/l.
  • With long -term intake of high doses and low -phosphate diet, the risk of bone deviation (osteomalacia) can lead to phosphate raving.
  • Children and adolescents
    • Do not give this medicine to children under the age of 12, as there is no sufficient experiences in this age group.

  • There are no special precautions required.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.
• Pregnancy
  • The useful ratio should be carefully weighed before taking aluminum-containing anti-zida during pregnancy. During pregnancy, the drug should only be used in the short term in the lowest possible dosage in order to avoid aluminum load on the child.
• Breastfeeding
  • Aluminum compounds pass into breast milk. However, a risk for the newborn cannot be assumed, since very small quantities are recorded.

Miscellaneous

- Part of the aluminum is absorbed and leads to an increase in the concentration of aluminum in the blood and an increase in aluminum excretion over the kidneys.
- The aluminum levels in the blood remain below the toxic area and normalize in 3-4 days after stopping the drug.
- A small part of the magnesium is recorded. The magnesium concentration in the blood usually remains the same by excretion over the kidneys.
- With limited kidney function and long-term intake of high quantities, a magnesium surplus in the blood up to magnesium poisoning and aluminum storage can occur, especially in the nerve and bone fabric.
- The aluminum values should therefore be checked regularly with long -term use. This applies in particular to reduced kidney function.
- In the event of long -lasting or/and at more frequent intervals recurring complaints, a more serious disease should be excluded.
- In the case of gastric and small intestine ulcers, an examination for a certain pathogen (helicobacter pylori) should be carried out in order to carry out a corresponding treatment in a positive case.
