Instructions for use

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

How should I use it?
Take the medicine undiluted.

Duration of use?
You should not use the medicine for longer than 4-5 days without medical advice. If symptoms persist or recur, you should consult your doctor.

Overdose?
An overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and a drop in blood pressure. If you suspect an overdose, consult a doctor immediately.

Forgotten a dose?
Continue taking the medication as usual at the next prescribed time (i.e., do not take twice the dose).

Dosing aid: A measuring container is included with the medicine for correct dosing.

Mode of action

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

The active ingredient loosens stuck mucus in the respiratory tract. The thick mucus becomes thinner and adheres less to the mucous membranes of the bronchi. This reduces mucus buildup and makes coughing easier.
When applied topically, the active ingredient can numb the surface of mucous membranes and thus temporarily relieve a sore throat, for example.

Silomat^® Cough Suppressant Ambroxol Hydrochloride 30 mg/5 ml Syrup

For use in adults, adolescents, and children 2 years and older.

Active ingredient: Ambroxol hydrochloride.

Used for expectorant treatment in bronchial and lung diseases with thick mucus. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 4-5 days, you must consult a doctor. Note: Contains sorbitol and benzoic acid.
