Field of use

• This medicine is a trace element preparation.
• Field of use:
  • Proven selenium deficiency, which cannot be remedied in terms of nutrition.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are allergic to sodium selenite pentaydrate or one of the other components of this medicine

• The recommended dose is:
  • 1 Tablet daily (corresponding to 50 µ[mikro]g selenium).
  • The intake takes place with plenty of liquid for the main meal.

 

• The practicing doctor will decide about the length of the treatments.
• Treatment should take place until the normalization of the selenium status (selenium in plasma 80 - 120 µ[mikro]g/l, in thoroughbred 100 - 140 µ[mikro]g/l). A regular check of the selenium level at reasonable intervals is recommended.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Signs of acute overdose are garlic-like bad breath, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea and upper and lower abdominal complaints.

    • Gastrointestinal flushing or forced diuresis (increased urine excretion).
