Field of use

• The preparation is a vegetable medicine for calming down.
  • Vegetable drugs for use with light nervous tension and sleep disorders.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken:
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against valerian root or one of the other components.

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • for adults and adolescents over 12 years:
    • To treat light nervous tension up to 3 times a day 2 excess tablets.
    • To treat sleep disorders 2 excessive tablets ½ - 1 hour before going to bed. If necessary, you can also take 2 covered tablets earlier in the course of the evening. The single dose corresponds to 2 - 3 g valerian root.
    • Maximum daily dose: 4 single doses = 8 excessive tablets.
  • The application in children under the age of 12 is not planned.
  • There is no sufficient data for concrete dosing recommendations for restricted kidney/liver function.

 

• Duration of the application:
  • Due to the gradually onset effect, valerian root is not suitable for acute treatment of mild nervous tension or sleep disorders. In order to achieve optimal treatment success, it is recommended to keep a continuous application over 2 - 4 weeks.
  • If the symptoms stop or worsen after two weeks of continuous use of the drug, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should:
  • If you accidentally took 1 or 2 excess tablets once more than intended, this usually has no adverse consequences. In this case, continue taking as described in the dosage instructions or was prescribed by your doctor.
  • If you have significantly overdosed this medicine, you should consult a doctor.

 

• If you forgot to take it:
  • Do not take the double dose, but use the intake as stated or prescribed by your doctor.

 

• If you stop taking:
  • An interruption or early termination of the treatment is usually harmless.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• To take.
• Do not take the excessive tablets while lying down.
• Please take the covered tablets with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water).

Patient information

• Particular caution when taking it is required:
  • a) in children:
    • There is no sufficient examinations for the use of this drug in children. It should therefore not be taken by children under the age of 12.
  • b) pregnancy and breastfeeding:
    • Security during pregnancy and breastfeeding was not sufficiently examined. For pregnant women and breastfeeding, taking is not recommended.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines:
  • The drug can also affect the ability to drive and the ability to operate machines or work without a safe grip, even with intended use. This applies to an increased extent in interaction with alcohol.

Pregnancy

• Security during pregnancy and breastfeeding was not sufficiently examined. For pregnant women and breastfeeding, taking is not recommended.
