Field of use

• The preparation is a cornea.
• This ointment is used externally at:
  • increased corneal formation (hyperkeratoses),
  • Chicken eyes (clavus),
  • Schwielen (Kallus).

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Ingredients of Salicyl-Vaselin 10% (pack size: 100 ml):

100 g ointment contain the active ingredient: 10 g salicylic acid.

Other components: thin paraffin, white Vaselin.

Contradictions

• This medicine must not be used,
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against the active ingredient or one of the other components,
  • in the case of cross -sensitivity,
  • during pregnancy,
  • in infants,
  • with limited kidney function.

dosage

• Always apply the preparation exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Children up to 12 years:
  • maximum daily dose: 2 g ointment
  • maximum daily dose of active ingredient: 0.2 g
• Adult:
  • maximum daily dose: 20 g ointment
  • maximum daily dose of active ingredient: 2.0 g
• Apply the preparation once or twice a day on the skin.

 

• Duration of the application
  • Do not apply the preparation without medical advice for more than 3 days.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have used a larger amount of this medicine than you should
  • If complaints arise due to the higher dose, please notify your doctor. This may decide on the necessary measures. The side effects listed under side effects may occur.

  • There are no experience with regard to the impairment of operating machines.

Pregnancy

• Do not apply the preparation during pregnancy.
• During breastfeeding it must not be used in the chest area.
• Still end may only use the preparation to treat chicken eyes for areas up to 5 cm2.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using all medicines.

Miscellaneous

- Don't come into contact with mucous membranes and eyes
- The removal of corns and hornstroke is encouraged by a warm foot bath.
- If necessary, the application can be repeated for corns and horn calls.
- The absorption of the active ingredient in the bloodstream can be increased in the event of inflammatory changes in the skin or skin drafts.
