Field of use

• The preparation is a means of treating functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Simeticon, the active ingredient of the preparation, is a surface-active substance (defective) that is able to dissolve excessive air/gas accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract.
• The preparation is used
  • for symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints, e.g. B. flatulence (meteorism), feeling of fullness.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are allergic to Simeticon or one of the other components of this drug.

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • In the case of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints, e.g. B. flatulence, feeling of fullness
    • Infants and bottle children:
      • 15 Drops (0.6 ml) are added to each vial.
      • The preparation easily mixes with other liquids, e.g. B. with milk.
      • In infants that are breastfed, the preparation can also be administered with a small spoon before breastfeeding.
    • Small children:
      • 15 Drops (0.6 ml) are taken from small children or after meals.
      • If necessary, 15 drops can also be taken before going to bed.
    • The following dose recommendations apply to school children and adults for the treatment of flatulence and fullness:
      • School children: 20 to 30 drops (0.8 to 1.2 ml)
      • Adults: 30 to 45 drops (1.2 to 1.8 ml)
      • This dose is to be taken every 4 to 6 hours and can be increased if necessary.
  • X -ray examinations
    • To prepare an X -ray examination, 3 to 6 teaspoons (15 to 30 ml) should be taken on the evening before.
  • Sonographies (ultrasound examinations)
    • To prepare sonography, the intake of 3 teaspoons (15 ml) is recommended about 3 hours before the start of sonography.
  • Endoscopies (gastrointestinal mirroring)
    • Endoscopies are to be taken ½ to 1 teaspoon (2.5 to 5 ml). Any further medication for the removal of disturbing foam bubbles can be carried out by the instrumented channel of the endoscope with a few milliliters.
  • Riner poisoning
    • In the case of detergent poisoning, the dosage takes place according to the severity of the poisoning. 1 teaspoon (5 ml) is recommended as the minimum dose.

• Duration of the application
  • If necessary and in consultation with your doctor or pharmacist, the preparation can also be taken over a long time.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • The active ingredient of the preparation, Simeticon, brings the foam in the gastrointestinal duct in a purely physical way to resolution and is chemically and biodegrading. Unwanted effects have not yet been observed in the event of overdose.

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Continue taking it as described in the dosage instructions.

• If you cancel the intake

  • Shake the bottle well before use! Keep down vertically for the drop of bottle and tap your finger onto the bottle floor. The drip speed can be reduced by holding the bottle.
