Field of use

Prospan cough drops (pack size: 50 ml) is used to improve the symptoms in chronic inflammatory bronchial diseases and acute inflammation of the airways with the side effect.

Note: In the event of a long -lasting symptoms or when the breath occurs, fever as well as in the case of purulent or bloody sputum, the doctor should be consulted immediately.

20 mg ivy leaves dry extract, (5-7.5: 1), extractor: ethanol 30% (m/m)

Contradictions

The medicine must not be taken if they are hypersensitive to the drug component or one of the other components of the drug. In addition, the product should not be applied if the doctor has strictly prohibited the use of minimal alcohol (e.g. according to a withdrawal cure). Children under 1 year should not take the medicine.

Adults and children from 10 years:
Dosage per day: 3 times 24 drops
Quantity of dry extract from ivy leaves per day: 50.4 mg

Children (4 - 10 years):
Dosage per day: 3 times 16 drops
Quantity of dry extract from ivy leaves per day 33.6 mg

Children (1- 4 years):
Dosage per day: 3 times 12 drops
Quantity of dry extract from ivy leaves per day 25.2 mg

The drops should be taken before meals. In small children, it is advisable to give the drops together with some fruit juice.
