Propolis– Capsules containing bee pollen
Propolis is a protective bud and bark secretion of plants. It is a kind of putty resin and serves in the beehive as an insulator and protection against the intrusion of pests.
Bee pollen are the male germ cells of the flowers. This is the pollen which is transmitted by the bees and through which pollination of the female flower parts takes place. At the same time, pollen is used to feed the bees. They are stripped off by the bees in the hive and can then be used by the beekeeper.
