Field of use

Paracetamol ratiopharm 1000mg (package size: 10 pc) are used for light to moderately severe pain and for fever.

Mode of action

The active ingredient paracetamol contained in paracetamol ratiopharm 1000mg (package size: 10 pc) has a pain relieving and fever -lowering effect that comes from the brain and spinal cord. In contrast to other painkillers such as acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen, paracetamol has no anti -inflammatory effect.

1 Tablet contains as an effective component:

• 1000 mg paracetamol

as other components:

Polyvidone, croscarmellosis sodium, cornstarch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, high-disperse silicon dioxide, talcum

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, the product should not be used. It should also not be used during pregnancy and lactation.
For children and adolescents aged 15 or disciples, other suitable strengths and dosage forms are available.

dosage

Exceeding the maximum daily dose should never be done.

Dosier recommendation:

• Young people aged 16 and over and adults over 50 kg: 500-1000 mg paracetamol as a single dose, 60 mg/kg kg, but no more than 3000 mg (3 tablets) paracetamol as a maximum daily dose (24 hours))
  
• Children and adolescents with low body weight This wording is not suitable for children and adolescents under the age of 16 or a body weight of less than 50 kg because the dose strength is not suitable for this patient group. There are other strengths and dosage forms available for this patient group.

Taking

- Take tablets with sufficient liquid.
- The intake after meals can lead to a delayed occurrence.

Patient information

Paracetamol-containing medicines should not be used for more than 3-4 days without medical or dental advice and not in increased dose.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only take medication after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist!

- Paracetamol passes into child's blood.
- Studies on numerous mother-child pairs have no evidence of possible undesirable side effects on pregnancy or health of the fetus/newborn. Nevertheless, paracetamol should only be used during pregnancy with strict weighing up the benefit risk ratio.
- Paracetamol should not be taken over a longer period of time, in high doses or in combination with other medicines, since the security of the application is not proven for these cases.
- Paracetamol passes into breast milk. Since disadvantageous consequences for the infant have not yet become known, an interruption of breastfeeding during treatment will generally not be necessary.

Hints

You should not use Paracetamol ratiopharm 1000mg (pack size: 10 pc) without medical advice for more than 3 days and/or in higher doses. For children up to the age of 12, other dosage forms, such as paracetamol, are recommended-Judge or paracetamol suppositories.

Do not apply longer for pain or fever without medical advice than specified in the package insert!

Miscellaneous

Must not be taken or administered together with alcohol.
- There are interactions with other medicines to be observed.
