Field of use

Paracetamol AL 500 (pack size: 20 pcs) are used to relieve light to moderately severe pain and fever. Paracetamol AL 500 (pack size: 20 pc) are suitable for children from 4 years, young people and adults.

Mode of action

The active ingredient has a pain relieving and fever -lowering. It also has low anti -inflammatory properties. He blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, so -called prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.

• 500 mg paracetamol

Carboxymethyl starch-sodium, povidon K90, magnesium diet, cellulose

Contradictions

Do not take this product with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol or one of the other components, as well as with a serious impairment of the liver function.

dosage

Paracetamol is dosed depending on body weight and age. As a rule, paracetamol with 10-15 mg per kg body weight is dosed as a single dose, up to a maximum of 60 mg paracetamol per kg body weight as a daily maximum dose.

• Children between 4-8 years and a body weight of 17-25 kg:
  Single dose: ½ tablet (= 250mg paracetamol)
  Maximum daily dose: 2 tablets (= 1000mg paracetamol)
• Children between 8-11 years and a body weight of 26-32 kg:
  Single dose: ½ tablet (= 250mg paracetamol)
  Maximum daily dose: 2 tablets (= 1000mg paracetamol)
• Children between 11-12 years and a body weight of 33-43 kg:
  Single dose: 1 tablet (= 500mg paracetamol)
  Maximum daily dose: 4 tablets (= 2000mg paracetamol)
• Children from the age of 12, young people and adults from a body weight of 43 kg:
  Single dose: 1-2 tablets (= 500-1000mg paracetamol)
  Maximum daily dose: 8 tablets (= 4000mg paracetamol)

Taking

• Take the medicinal product with sufficient liquid. Taking it after meals can lead to a delayed occurrence.

• When can you only take the medicine after consultation with your doctor?
  • The following describes when you can only take paracetamol under certain conditions and only with special caution. Please ask your doctor. This also applies if this information has been on your own.
  • You should only take the medicine with special caution (i.e. in larger revenue distances or in a reduced dose) and under medical control at:
    • Liver dysfunction (e.g. by chronic alcohol abuse, liver inflammation)
    • pre -damaged kidney
    • congenital increased bilirubin content of the blood (Gilbert syndrome or Meulengracht disease).
• What should be taken into account in children?
  • The medicine is not suitable for children under 6 years. For this purpose, preparations are available in the form of juice and suppositories with a lower active ingredient content.

    • If painkillers are not dosed for a long time, headaches can occur, which may not be treated by increased doses of the drug.
    • In general, the habitual use of pain relievers, especially when combining several pain relieving active ingredients, can lead to permanent kidney damage with the risk of kidney failure (analgesic nephropathy).

Pregnancy

What do you have to consider during pregnancy?

The medicine should only be taken after strict weighing up the benefit-risk ratio during pregnancy.
You should not take the preparation during pregnancy for a long time, in high doses or in combination with other medicines, since the safety of the application is not proven for these cases.

What do you have to consider during breastfeeding?

Paracetamol passes into breast milk. Since disadvantageous consequences for the infant have not yet become known, an interruption of breastfeeding during treatment will normally not be necessary.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking all drugs.

Hints

Paracetamol AL 500 (pack size: 20 pc) should not be used for more than 3 days without medical advice or in higher doses.
For children up to 12 years, other forms of dosage, such as paracetamol juices or paracetamol suppositories, must be preferred.

Do not apply longer for pain or fever without medical advice than specified in the package insert!
