Mode of action
How does the ingredient of the medicine work?The active ingredient heals injured skin and mucous membrane. It is structurally related to pantothenic acid, a vitamin that is involved in important metabolic processes in the body. Damaged skin or mucous membrane lacks pantothenic acid. The drug with the active ingredient that is converted into pantothenic acid in the body compensates for the lack of vitamin and the wound can close again faster.

Field of use
- This preparation is an eye medicine for wound healing promotion on the conjunctiva and cornea of the eye.
- It is used
- to supportand treatment of the healing of skin lesions of the binding and cornea of the eye
- for the symptomatic treatment of drying symptoms of the binding and cornea
- Notice:
- This medicine is not suitable for healing infectious binding and corneal processes caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi, but only as a supporting means for specific treatment.

Contradictions
- This medicine must not be used,
- if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against Dexpanthenol or one of the other components of this medicine.
dosage
- Always apply this medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
- Use this drug according to the following dosage recommendation:
- Bring an approximately 1 cm long ointment strand (corresponding to approx. 1 mg dexpanthenol) 3 to 4 times a day into the lower conjunctive sac of the sick eye.
- To prevent recurrent cornealosions, the eye ointment is only cut out at night.
- Duration of the application
- The duration of the application depends on the expression of the clinical picture and the course of the disease.
- Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.
- If you have used a larger amount than you should:
- Due to the limited admission assets of the conjunctiva bag, overdose is practically excluded.
- Semal symptoms are not expected when taking the eye ointment accidentally.
- If you have forgotten the application:
- It is important that the drug is used regularly. But if you forget it once or more, you continue the treatment as prescribed.
- If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Taking
- The eye ointment should be kept at room temperature so that it is supple and can easily escape from the tube.
- Please remove the eye ointment by gently squeezing the tube without bends and rolling up.
- Bring in the conjunctiva bag
- Take the tube between the thumb and index finger and carefully approach it to the eye. Then tend your head back slightly, look up the view and pull the lower eyelid away with your index finger.
- Bring the recommended or prescribed amount of eye ointment into the conjunctive conjunction of the diseased eye without the tube tip with the eye or lid edge.
- Share the ointment strand evenly after introducing several eyelets and movements of the eyeball.
Patient information
- Special care in the application is required
- No contact lenses may be worn during the application.
- Wateriness and operating machines
- Immediately after using the eye ointment, the ability to actively participate in road traffic, to work without a safe hold or to operate machines can be temporarily impaired.

The ointment is very easy to spread and vision is not impaired for long. Helps me with dry and stressed (red) eyes. Unfortunately it only lasts 4 weeks after opening.

My ophthalmologist recommended the ointment to me because my conjunctiva is so dry and often inflamed. I also anoint the inside of the lower eyelid well with 1 cm of ointment (rub well back and forth).
