Who is OMNi-BiOTiC^® iMMUND Sachet suitable for?
Key role in the immune system – the oral microbiome
The mouth, nose, and throat are the first entry points for foreign germs. However, we have integrated an important defense system into our mouths: the oral microbiome, also known as the oral flora or oral microbiome. These are microorganisms naturally occurring in the oral cavity, primarily beneficial bacteria that live on the oral mucosa.

Our oral flora performs key functions in the mouth and throat. A wide variety of different bacteria displaces foreign germs and thus ensures that they do not settle in the oral cavity. In addition, some bacterial species in our oral flora can produce special defense substances that specifically attack and eliminate various pathogens.

A healthy oral microbiome consists of approximately 800 to 1,000 different bacterial species. Our lifestyle, in particular, influences the oral microbiome: Unhealthy diet, medications, or significant fluctuations in the pH value within the oral cavity, for example, due to sugar-rich foods, can affect the oral microbiome and reduce both the diversity and number of beneficial bacteria. This results in an imbalance, known as dysbiosis, which prevents our oral microbiome from fully fulfilling its functions.

A healthy diet, maintaining a neutral pH value in the oral cavity, and consuming bacteria found in the mouth and throat are therefore beneficial. Vitamin D is also particularly important: This vitamin contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin D also contributes to normal cell division – including in the cells of the oral mucosa, which regenerates every eight to ten days.

OMNi-BiOTiC^® iMMUND contains the Streptococcus salivarius K12 bacterial strain, which has been proven in numerous studies and occurs naturally in the oral cavity, as well as vitamin D. This vitamin ensures the normal function of the immune system in children and adults.

The viability and replication capacity of the bacteria contained are guaranteed until the best-before date.

Recommended Use
(Toddlers) 1 year and older: We recommend taking one sachet of OMNi-BiOTiC^® iMMUND (=1.5 g) per day. Dip a moistened pacifier or spoon into the sachet. The powder is then poured onto the pacifier or spoon directly into the child's mouth, where it dissolves within 30 seconds. Repeat this process until the contents of the sachet are empty. Do not pour the contents of the sachet directly into the child's mouth.
