Field of use

Olynth Plus 0.1% / 5% nasal spray for adults and school children from 6 years (pack size: 10 ml) With the triple effect: frees the nose, promotes wound healing and protects the nasal mucosa.

Almost everyone knows it:
If it is wet and cold outside, while the heating is in full swing in the apartment, our nasal mucous membranes will be on a large loadrobe. The cold air outside reduces blood flow to the mucous membranes and thus also weakens its defense function.
The dry heating air inside also ensures that the mucous membranes dry out.

So the numerous cold viruses have an easy game. They can settle more easily and lead to inflammation in the nose. The mucous membranes swell and produce more water and secretions to rinse the uninvited guests out of their nose. The nose begins to run and clogs after a while. The runny nose caught us fully!

Olynth Plus 0.1% / 5% nasal spray for adults and school children from 6 years (package size: 10 ml) Without preservatives with 3-fold effect, the clogged nose frees the clogged nose, promotes wound healing and protects the nasal mucosa.

It contains the combination of the active ingredients xylometazoline and dexpanthenol.
Xylometazoline is responsible for the decongestant effect. It leads to a rapid narrowing of the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, so that it will stop and you can breathe freely again.
Dexpanthenol is a descendant of vitamin pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). It promotes wound healing and protects the irritated nasal mucosa.

Active substances of Olynth Plus 0.1% / 5% nasal spray for adults and school children from 6 years (pack size: 10 ml) are:

Xylometazolin hydrochloride dexpanthenol

1 spray to 0.1 ml nasal spray contains 0.1 mg xylometazolin hydrochloride and 5.0 mg dexpanthenol.

Other components:
Calium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate-dodecahydrate and cleaned water

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.

dosage

Dosier recommendation of Olynth Plus 0.1% / 5% nasal spray for adults and school children from 6 years (pack size: 10 ml):

The recommended dose in adults and school children from 6 years is up to 3 times a day, a spray per nose opening. Olynth® Plus should not be used for more than 7 days.

Application instructions:
First pull off the protective cap.
Pump 5 times before the first application until an even spray is created.

If the spray has not been used for a long time, you should be pumped twice before use.

Insert the spray head into a nose opening as vertically as possible and pump it once.
Breathe in the nose slightly during the spray process. Repeat the process for the other nose opening if necessary.

Wipe the spray head with a paper towel after each use and put the protective cap back on.

Taking

• This medicine is intended for use in the nose. After removing the protective cap, insert the spray opening into the nose opening and press the pump once. Breathe quietly through the nose during the spray process. After use, carefully wipe the spray head with a clean paper towel and put it on again.
• Hints:
  • Before the first application and after a more than 7-day treatment break, press the pump several times until an even spray lever is handed over. In the following applications, the dosing spray is immediately ready for use.
  • Carefully clean your nose before using the nasal spray. It is recommended to apply the last dose of the day before going to bed.
  • For hygiene reasons and avoiding infections, a spray bottle should only be used by one person.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using the nasal spray,
    • if you are dealt with with certain medicines against depression, which are referred to as monoaminoxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors), or with other potentially blood pressure-enhancing medicines (e.g. doxapram, ergotamine, oxytocin).
    • if they are treated with blood pressure -lowering medicines (e.g. methyldopa).
    • if you suffer from an increased intraocular pressure, in particular a narrow -angle glaucoma.
    • if you suffer from a coronary heart disease or high blood pressure (hypertension).
    • if you suffer from a tumor of the adrenal gland (Phäochromocytom).
    • if you have metabolic disorders such as B. suffering from an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) and diabetes.
    • if you have a metabolic disease known as porphyria (a metabolic disorder that affects the skin and/or nervous system).
    • if your prostate is enlarged (prostate hyperplasia).
  • The use of chronic runny nose may only be carried out under medical control due to the loss of the nasal mucosa (tissue in the nose).
• Children
  • The nasal spray must not be used in children under the age of 6. For children between 2 and 6 years old, other strengths of this drug with lower concentration of xylometazolin hydrochloride are available.
  • Long -term application and overdose, especially in children, must be avoided. The application for higher doses may only be carried out under medical control.

  • No side effects can be expected in the event of intended use.

Pregnancy

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.
• Pregnancy
  • The nasal spray can be used for no more than a week during pregnancy.
• Breastfeeding
  • It is not known whether xylometazoline and dexpanthenol pass into breast milk. A risk of the infant cannot be excluded. A decision must be made about whether breastfeeding can be interrupted or whether treatment with the nasal spray should be dispensed with/the treatment should be interrupted. Both the benefits of breastfeeding for the child and the benefits of therapy for women must be taken into account.
