Field of use

With the Norsan fatty acid analysis, you can easily determine your fatty acid values from home. The Omega-6/3 ratio, the Omega3 index and 26 fatty acids are measured. The evaluation of your blood is carried out by an independent laboratory.

The individual need for Omega 3 can be used to analyze the fatty acid and omega profile (Norsan analysis) with the help of the self-test. With a few drops of blood from the finger berry, your fatty acid profile is analyzed and you will receive information about:

- Omega-3 index: indicates the proportion of marine omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA in relation to the entire fatty acids. Norsan recommends a share of over 8%.

- Omega 6/3 ratio: indicates the ratio between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, which decisively participate in the formation of inflammation and inhibition. A too high omega-6/3 ratio (omega-3 ratio) leads to an undesirable high level of inflammation in the body.

- Transfett content: Trans fats are fatty fabrics that do not belong in the body naturally. Trans fat damage the cells. The transfett content should be low. It is recommended that the industrial trans fats should make up less than 0.50 % of the total fatty acids.
