Nicorette^® freshmint 2 mg compressed lozenges

Active ingredient: Nicotine (as nicotine resinate).

Indications: Treatment of tobacco dependence by relieving nicotine withdrawal symptoms and reducing nicotine cravings for smokers with a low tobacco dependence aged 18 years and older. For immediate smoking cessation and for reducing cigarette consumption (smoking reduction) in order to gradually quit smoking.

Choose the strength that's right for you: The lozenges with 2 mg nicotine are suitable for people who smoke up to 20 cigarettes a day. If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day, we recommend the higher-dose lozenges with 4 mg nicotine, which are available in packs of 80.

The Nicorette^® lozenges support you in quitting smoking immediately or in targeted smoking reduction and subsequent smoking cessation.

Using them is simple: When you feel the urge to smoke, place a lozenge on your tongue. Sucking releases the nicotine, which enters the bloodstream through the oral mucosa. The lozenges thus counteract the cravings and other typical withdrawal symptoms that can occur when quitting smoking. These include increased appetite and inner restlessness. The lozenges are sugar-free and have a fresh mint flavor.
Combination therapy can double your chances of long-term smoke-free status!

For those with strong, uncontrolled cravings while using nicorette^® lozenges alone, or for those who have not had success with the nicorette^® lozenge alone, nicorette^® 2 mg lozenges can be combined with the nicorette^® TX patch. The nicorette^® TX patch releases nicotine into the body for a constant 16 hours. In cases of acute cravings, Nicorette^® 2 mg lozenges can be used in addition to the Nicorette^® TX patch to provide relief. Nicorette lozenges with 4 mg nicotine are not suitable for combination therapy.

Instructions for use:
Similar to lozenges used purely for breath freshening, Nicorette^® lozenges with 2 mg or 4 mg nicotine are placed on the tongue. The lozenge should be occasionally moved from one side of the mouth to the other until it has completely dissolved. This can take up to 20 minutes. This allows the lozenge to release the therapeutic nicotine, which can be absorbed by the body through the mucous membranes and reduce the urge to smoke. Chewing the lozenge or swallowing it whole should be avoided. Users should not eat or drink while the lozenge is in the mouth. Over time, the number of lozenges taken per day should be gradually reduced until no more lozenges are sucked.

Nicorette^® lozenges are a nicotine replacement product and relieve withdrawal symptoms during smoking cessation. The tablets containing 2 mg or 4 mg of therapeutic nicotine can be used for both the reduction method (gradually reducing the number of cigarettes to zero) and the cut-off method (not smoking any cigarettes from the start).
Nicorette^® 2 mg lozenges are suitable for smokers with a low tobacco dependence, e.g., smokers who smoke their first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up or smoke up to 20 cigarettes per day. Nicorette 4 mg lozenges are suitable for smokers with a high tobacco dependence, e.g., smokers who smoke their first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up or smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day.

Dosage:
Suck one Nicorette^® lozenge if you would otherwise smoke a cigarette or if you feel the urge to smoke. Use a maximum of 15 lozenges per day.
