The active chewing of the nicorette® chewing gum with 2 mg nicotine reduces the request for smoking. It releases the contained therapeutic nicotine , which gets into the bloodstream via the oral mucosa and increases the nicotine level there. Not only the acute smoke impulse is suppressed, but also other withdrawal symptoms of the smoking cessation, such as inner restlessness or increased irritability. The additional advantage: the sugar-free nicorette® chewing gum Whitemint not only have an intense mint taste that refreshes the breath, but also scores with their tooth white effect. This effect of the chewing gum can have a positive effect on the appearance of the teeth in the smoking cessation .

For a successful smoking cessation , an application is recommended for at least 12 weeks, whereby less and less chewing gum should be chewed per day.
