Infusion solution
Composition
1 Ampoule contains 20 ml:
1.68 g sodium hydrogen carbonate
Other ingredients:
Edetinic acid, Dinatrium salt 2 H20, water for injection purposes
Application areas
Metabolic acids. Alkalization in barbiturate and salicylate poisoning.
Contradictions
Alkaloses; Hyprenatremia; Hypocalaemia.
Side effects
Not known if the contraindications and clues are not known.
Interactions
Do not use solutions containing calcium and magnesium; do not mix with solutions containing phosphate.
Dosage instructions
Permanent drip up to a maximum of 25 drops/minute (= maximum 1 ampoule in 16 minutes) and 100 ml/day (corresponding to 5 ampoules) taking into account the acid-base household. Sodium hydrogen carbonate solution 8.4 % can, undiluted or diluted, be infused.
Notice
Paravenous application can result in necrosis. Checks of the acid-base household and the serumionogram are required. Be careful with hypocalaemia. In the case of dose crossing, the risk of hypocalcaemic tetany.

A so -called latent acidosis often contributes to a regulatory blockade, i.e. a metabolic slope that is still compensated for, but is already present and effective. Due to the high regulative, pain therapy and anti-inflammatory potency, bases infusion therapy can be used for a variety of clinical pictures.
