The proven drug Naratriptan works at all times of a migraine attack. However, the best effect is achieved immediately after the headache inserted. Even a film -coated tablet is often sufficient to significantly reduce migraine headache.

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.

Application recommendation of Naratriptan Heumann for migraines 2.5 mg (pack size: 2 pcs):

Please (adults between the ages of 18 and 65) please take a film -coated tablet as early as possible after the migraine headache begins. The film -coated tablets are also effective when used during the migraine.
If the complaints have been improved after taking the first film -coated tablet, but the migraine pain comes back, a second film -coated tablet can be taken, but at the earliest 4 hours after taking the first film tablet.
In total, no more than 2 film -coated tablets may be taken within 24 hours.

Migraine is a complex disease and not curable. However, there are some strategies to reduce the frequency and severity of migraine attacks. In this context we recommend the following tips:
•Learn to relax consciously. Relaxation techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation according to Edmund Jacobson are very suitable. Migraine patients learn to put themselves in a state of deep relaxation within a short time.
•Do at least 30 minutes of sports every day. Endurance sports such as swimming, running, walking or cycling are particularly suitable.
•Integrate fixed meals and bedtime into your everyday life. This is particularly important for migraine patients because changes in the sleep-wake rhythm can trigger a migraine attack.

What is a migraine with Aura?

A migraine attack or its treatment with Naratriptan Heumann can cause fatigue. Therefore, extreme caution is required for activities that require special attention. This includes operating machines or participating in road traffic.

Taking

• The usual dose for adults between the ages of 18 and 65 is a film -coated tablet, taken as a whole with water.

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.
  • If you have certain other risk factors
    • if you are a strong smoker or if you undergo nicotine replacement therapy, and especially
    • if you are a man over 40 years, or
    • if you are a woman after menopause (menopause).
  • In very rare cases, serious heart problems occurred in patients after taking it without previously there were signs of heart disease.
  • If one of the above points applies to you, this could mean that you have an increased risk of a heart disease, so
    • Inform your doctor so that your heart function can be checked before Naratriptan is prescribed.
  • If you are allergic to so-called sulfonamide antibiotics

  • If you often take the medicine
    • A too frequent intake can make your headache worse.

  • If you feel pain or tightness in the chest after taking it
    • These can be intense, but usually pass quickly. If you don't pass quickly or if you get worse:

Pregnancy
