Field of use

• The preparation is a medicine to liquefy tough mucus in the airways.
• The medicine is used
  • for the mucus solution and for facilitated coughing in the case of respiratory diseases with a tough mucus.

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is
  • Children from 2-5 years
    • Total dose: 2 - 3 times a day 1/2 effervescent tablet
  • Children from 6-14 years
    • Total dose: 1 effervescent tablet 2 times a day each every day
  • Young people over 14 years and adults
    • Total dose: 2 - 3 times a day 1 effervescent tablet
• Children under 2 years
  • The medicine must not be given to children under 2 years.

 

• Duration of the application:
  • If the symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4 - 5 days of treatment, you should ask your doctor.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • With overdose, irritation symptoms can occur in the gastrointestinal area. These can express themselves as heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
  • However, serious side effects or symptoms have not yet been observed even with extreme overdose. If you suspect an overdose with the medicine, please notify your doctor.

 

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double dose if you have forgotten the prior intake, but please continue taking as described next time.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• Take the medicine after meals.
• Please dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of drinking water and drink the contents of the glass completely.
• Notice:
  • The expectorant effect of the drug is improved by additional fluid intake.

Patient information

• Particular caution when taking the medicine is required
  • In the event of liver or kidney failure, the preparation should not be used to avoid further supply of nitrogen-containing substances.
  • Caution is advised if you suffer from asthma bronchial or have a stomach or intestinal ulcer in the past.
  • It has been very rare about the occurrence of severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Lyell syndrome in a temporal connection with the use of acetylcysteine. at Red recurrence of skin and mucous membrane changes should therefore be obtained immediately and the use of acetylcysteine should be caught up immediately.
