Field of use

NAC al acute 600mg (pack size: 20 pc) is a medicine for liquefying tough mucus in the airways. The medicine is used for the mucus solution and to make it easier to cough with respiratory diseases with a tough mucus.

Mode of action

NAC al acute 600mg (pack size: 20 pcs) contain acetylcysteine. This active ingredient liquefies the stuck mucus in the airways and makes coughing off.

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or one of the auxiliary substances mentioned above, NAC al acute 600mg (pack size: 20 pc) should not be applied.

dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described or follow your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The following information applies unless your doctor prescribed the preparation otherwise.
Please adhere to the application regulations, otherwise the drug cannot work properly.

Young people from 14 years and adult daily dose: 2 times a day 1/2 or once a day 1 effervescent tablet (corresponding to 600 mg acetylcysteine per day)
If the clinical picture worsens or no improvement occurs after 4 - 5 days, you should see a doctor.

In the event of overdose, irritation symptoms in the gastrointestinal area (e.g. abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) can occur.
Serious side effects or symptoms have so far not been observed even after massive overdose of acetylcysteine.
If you suspect an overdose with the preparation, please notify your doctor.

Once you have forgotten to take the preparation or have taken too little, please continue taking the drug, as described in the dosage instructions.
Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

Please do not break the treatment without consulting your doctor. Your illness might worsen by this.

Taking

Take the medicine after meals.
Please dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of drinking water and drink the contents of the glass completely.

Notice:
The expectorant effect of the drug is improved by additional fluid intake.

Patient information

Particular caution when taking the medicine is required for liver or kidney failure, the preparation should not be applied in order to avoid further supply of nitrogen-containing substances.
Caution is advised if you suffer from asthma bronchial or have a stomach or intestinal ulcer in the past.
It has been very rare about the occurrence of severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Lyell syndrome in a temporal connection with the use of acetylcysteine.
When the skin and mucous membrane changes come back, medical advice should therefore immediatelymatched and the application of acetylcysteine ended.

Wateriness and operating machines. There are no special features to consider.

Pregnancy

Since the security of the drug is not sufficiently proven during pregnancy and breastfeeding, you may only apply the preparation on the advice of your doctor and only after this has carried out careful benefits/risk assessment. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the recommended dosage must not be exceeded, since overdose can affect blood supply to the unborn child or reduce milk production.
