Field of use

• The healing ointment is a remedy for skin diseases.
• It is used for skin infections by nystatin -sensitive yeast mushrooms (e.g. Candida Albicans).

100000 Ie nystatin
200 mg zinc oxid
Paraffin, viscous auxiliary substances (+)
Wollwachsal alcohol ointment auxiliary material (+)

Contradictions

• The healing ointment must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to nystatin, zinc oxide or one of the other components of this medicine.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly according to your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is:
  • Apply the healing ointment to the diseased skin areas one to several times a day.
• Cover the affected skin areas completely with healing ointment.
• If you have any further questions about the application of this medicine, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The treatment should be continued a few days after complete healing.

  • Use of condoms
    • When treating in the genital or anal area, the use of latex condoms can reduce tear resistance and thus to impair the security of condoms.
  • Children
    • Due to the high osmolarity of Nystatin, an application for very underweight and immature premature babies is advised.

• The preparation should only be applied during pregnancy and lactation after strict benefit-risk assessment.
