Field of use

Movicol liquid orange (pack size: 500 ml) for the treatment of acute and chronic constipation in adults, adolescents and older patients. It is not recommended for use in children under the age of 12. There are other Movicolproducts available for this patient group.

Movicol Fluid orange helps you to have a comfortable intestinal activity, even if you have suffered from constipation over a long period of time.

Movicol liquid orange is not recommended for the treatment of coprostasis. Alternative Movicolproducts are available for the treatment of the Coprostasis.

Movicol liquid orange (pack size: 500 ml) contains:

Each 25 ml Movicol liquid orange contain the following components:
Macrogol 3350 13.125 g
Sodium chloride 0.3507 g
Sodium hydrogen carbonate 0.1785 g
Potassium chloride 0.0466 g

Movicol Liquid orange also contains cleaned water, orange aroma and acesulfam potassium (E950) and sucralose (E955) as a sweetener. It also contains the preservatives benzyl alcohol, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoat (E218) and ethyl-4-hydroxybenzoat (E214).
The orange aroma contains the following components: aroma substances, aroma preparations and ethanol (alcohol).
For each 25 ml, the following values result after dilution with 100 ml of water:
Sodium 65 mmol/l
Chloride 53 mmol/l
Potassium 5.4 mmol/l
Hydrogen carbonate 17 mmol/l

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.

dosage

Dosage recommendation of Movicol liquid orange (pack size: 500 ml):

In order to maintain good health, including a healthy intestine, it is recommended to drink a sufficient amount of liquid (generally 2 to 2.5 liters a day). You can take this product at any time and regardless of the absorption of food and drinks.

Constipation:
This product must not be taken undiluted.
A dose of Movicol liquid orange corresponds to 25 ml of liquid, which is diluted with 100 ml of water.
According to the severity of your constipation, you take the ready-to-use solution 1 to 3 times a day.

Manufacture of the solution:
Open the bottle and measure 25 ml or 5 teaspoon fillings (each 5 ml). Put the liquid in a glass and add about 100 ml (about half a glass) of water. Stir until the liquid has mixed evenly and the Movicol liquid orange solution is clear. Now you can drink the solution. Please rinse the dosing aid after use and put it back on the bottle.

Treatment with Movicol Fluid orange usually takes about 2 weeks. If you have to take Movicol liquid orange over a longer period of time, please speak with a doctor. If your constipation of an illness such as B. M. Parkinson's or multiple sclerosis (MS) is caused or if you take medicines that cause constipation, your doctor can recommend that you take Movicol to take orange fluently for more than 2 weeks.
Usually the effective dose of long -term treatment is 1 or 2 doses per day.
