Instructions for use

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

How should it be used?
Spray the medicine into one or more nostrils. Breathe gently through your nose while spraying. First, clear your nose by blowing vigorously. Shake well before use. Before first use, pump 10 times until a mist forms. To avoid infection, the medicine should only be used by one patient at a time.

Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease. It should therefore be determined in consultation with your doctor.

Overdose?
An overdose may, among other things, lead to increased susceptibility to infections or adrenal cortex disorders. If you suspect an overdose, consult a doctor immediately.

Forgotten a dose?
Continue use as usual at the next prescribed time (i.e., do not use twice the dose).

In general, pay careful attention to the dosage, especially for infants, small children, and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any possible side effects or precautions.

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

The active ingredient is a substance related to cortisone. Cortisone is a hormone that the body also produces itself.
The active ingredient is used primarily to reduce chronic inflammatory reactions in the body, such as those in the respiratory or digestive tract. The active ingredient inhibits endogenous processes that continually promote inflammation. In chronic diseases, the inflammation can become self-sustaining and lead to widespread symptoms through swelling of the affected skin or mucous membranes.
The substance only achieves its optimal effect when used regularly.

Contraindications

- Herpes infections of the eye
- Adrenal cortex diseases

Which age group should be considered?
- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age: This medicine must not be used.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: Based on current knowledge, use is not recommended. Weaning may be considered.

- There may be interactions with certain medications. Therefore, you should generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medication you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medication. This also applies to medications you buy yourself, use only occasionally, or have used for some time.

Active ingredient:
Mometasone furoate.

Indications:
For intranasal use in adults for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis, provided the initial diagnosis of seasonal allergic rhinitis was made by a physician.
