Field of use

• The medicine is a mushroom -killing medicine for the external treatment of skin diseases (antifungal).
• Miconazole is used in the skin, skin folds, finger and toe spaces as well as superficial infections by yeast. The cream is used in infants, children and adults.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are allergic to miconazolnitrate, related mushroom -killing medication, benzoic acid or one of the other components of this medicine.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Dosage
  • Wash the diseased skin surfaces thoroughly before each application and carefully dry them off. Apply a little cream to the diseased skin and the surrounding skin (approx. 1 to 2 cm) twice a day (if possible in the morning and evening).
  • If powder and cream are used, it is recommended to use both dosage forms once a day.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The entire treatment time is an average of 2 to 6 weeks.
  • The signs of fungal disease usually decrease significantly within the first 7 days after the start of treatment with Miconazole. If the signs of the fungal disease do not go back within the first 7 days after the start of treatment, you must see a doctor.
  • The treatment should be carried out to avoid recurrence until the mushroom culture is negative, but at least a week beyond the disappearance of all complaints.
  • There should be a treatment -free period of 3 - 4 days between the last application and the creation of a mushroom culture, so that possible. Leftover the active ingredient do not affect culture.
  • Do not apply MICONAZOL without medical advice for more than 7 days.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Miconazole is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have used a larger amount of the drug than you should
  • Excessive use can lead to skin reactions that usually go back after the end of the therapy. If you take the cream accidentally, please contact your doctor.

 

• If you have forgotten the application of the drug
  • Do not apply the double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.

 

• If you cancel the application of the drug
  • If you cancel the treatment too early, a recurrence of the fungal infection is possible.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• Massage the cream with your finger until it has moved in.
• After using the cream, you should wash your hands thoroughly (exception: treatment of the hands).

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Miconazole.
    • The preparation is only intended for external application and must not be taken.
  • Avoid eye contact.
  • If there are hypersensitivity reactions or irritation, the treatment must be canceled.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • The preparation has no or a negligible influence on the traffic and the ability to use machines.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug. Miconazole used on the skin is absorbed by the body to a very small extent (less than 1 %).
• During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should therefore only use Miconazole after consultation with a doctor.
• Breastfeeding
  • There is no data whether the active ingredient is released into breast milk.
  • Please do not apply the cream in the chest area during breastfeeding. This is how you avoid the direct contact of the infant with the cream.
