The properties of Mepitel Film
Mepitel® Film offers flexible, transparent protection for the skin or wound against microbial contamination, the penetration of liquid and other external contamination. In addition, it adapts optimally to the bumps of the skin and body contours.

Mepitel® film receives a moist wound milieu, but thanks to its steam permeability, excess moisture escapes from the skin. Mepitel Film offers immediate liability and minimizes the need for additional pressure for optimal fixation.

Mepitel Film cannot be used as a primary fixation for intravenous entrances, cannulas, ports or other infusion devices and/or life -preserving devices.

 

Application areas

Mepitel Film is suitable for a wide range of superficial wounds, such as.
