Instructions for use for MELGISORB Ag bandage 5x5 cm, 10 pcs
Melgisorb AG 5x5cm association
Alginate association with silver complex
If there is an increased risk of infection, Melgisorb® AG is the first choice for strong exuding wounds. It absorbs up to 45 % more exudate than leading silver associations and offers sustainable antimicrobial effects2. Since silver ions are released into the wound fluid, Melgisorb® AG is also suitable for combating a variety of microorganisms. The structural stability of the fibers enables the resistance removal when changing the association.
- Excellent absorption assets with deep, strongly exuding wounds
- Offers sustainable microbial effects2
- Protects the wound and supports the autolytic debridement, which makes wound healing easier
- Thanks to the higher fiber strength, it can be pulled off in one piece
Application areas
Melgisorb AG can be used in all moderately to strongly exuding, superficial and deeper wounds in which an infection is present. These include: postoperative wounds, traumatic wounds (skin lesions, trauma injuries or incisions), leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, skin removal points, wound caves and burns 1st and 2nd degree.
Mepilex Border or Mextra Superabsorbent is suitable as a secondary association. We recommend tubifast to fix.
