Field of use

Medihoney antibacterial medical honey (package size: 5x20 g) is a preparation for topical use on chronic and acute wounds e.g. deep wounds, wounds with fistula ducts, necrotic wounds, infected wounds, surgical wounds or foul -smelling wounds.

Mode of action

The high osmotic potential of the Medihoney ™ antibacterial medical honey is favored. As a result, bacteria, endotoxins and necrotic fabrics from the wound are rinsed into the wound pad and removed when changing the association, which is also facilitated. An antibacterial milieu is also formed.

Make sure that Medihoney ™ antibacterial medical honey is in full contact with the wound ground (approx. 3 mm layer thickness).

A suitable wound association for exudate management should be used to cover Medihoney ™ antibacterial medical honey. The super-absorbing DRYMAX Extra and Relevo, which absorb excess wound sex studies and bacteria, are particularly recommended and bind as gel.

Medihoney ™ antibacterial medical honey can be left on the wound depending on the existing wound secretion for up to 7 days.
