milk thistle seed extract (77%); capsule shell: gelatin; Color in the capsule shell: titanium dioxide; Bulking agent: mannitol

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum), also known as lady's thistle or milk grains, contains the substances silymarin, flavonoids, essential oils and resins. Silymarin is only found in the fruit and protects and strengthens the liver and detoxifies them.

The silymarin contained in the fruit performs the following functions:

Liver protective effect: The liver is the central metabolic organ of the human organism and is accordingly exposed to various damaging influences such as alcohol, pharmaceuticals or environmental influences. Silymarin stimulates the formation of new liver cells and thus promotes the regenerative powers of the liver.

Digestive tract: Since silymarin promotes the liver's ability to regenerate and bile, which is important for digestion, can be formed, milk thistle also stimulates digestion.

Radical scavenger: Silymarin also protects the cell from free radicals. Our current living conditions - high physical and psychological stress, unbalanced nutrition and negative environmental influences - promote the formation of free radicals. They damage the cells and are thus involved in the development of many diseases. Silymarin can render free radicals harmless.
