Area of application

Honey from New Zealand with at least 400mg methylglyoxal (MGO) per kilogram of honey.
A pure natural product from the flower nectar of the New Zealand Manuka tree with the natural ingredient methylglyoxal (MGO).

Avital Manuka Honey is won exclusively in New Zealand. In the rough and remote mountain regions of the small country at the other end of the world, the Manuka tree, also known as South Seaemyrt, grows. The bees gain a unique nectar from the flowers of the tree up to 4 meters high, which receives a special property in the honeycomb in the beehive.
Even the Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand, attributed special properties to the Manuka tree and have been using it for centuries.
A possible reason for this could be the ingredient methylglyoxal, often abbreviated as "MGO". For many years, research has been carried out again and again on the special effect of MGO . It is a sugar reduction product that has antibacterial properties. Due to the special composition of the nectar of the Manuka tree, Manuka honey has a much higher MGOcontent than other types of honey.

Each batch of our Manuka honey is carefully tested by certified and accredited laboratories before shipping from New Zealand and again upon arrival in Germany. Only if all values meet – or exceed – our specifications is the bottled honey released for sale in pharmacies.

Sustainably responsible
The jars we use to bottle our Avitale Manuka honey contain up to 70% recycled glass. This significantly reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions compared to jars without recycled content. The emptied and cleaned jar can be reused for a variety of household purposes, thus further reducing the carbon footprint.

Dosage

Recommended intake of Manuka Honey Mgo 400+ (Pack size: 250 g):

Whether in your favorite muesli, as a spread on bread, or with a cup of tea, enjoy Manuka honey the way you like it best.
We recommend consuming 1-2 teaspoons of Avitale Manuka Honey daily to allow the special properties of this unique honey to fully develop.
MGO it is largely heat-resistant. Avitale Manuka Honey can therefore be safely used in warm foods and drinks.
