Mode of action
How does the ingredient of the medicine work?Magnesium is a mineral for our body, it is absorbed in the form of its salts from food. Magnesium plays an important role in the preservation of the functionality of muscle and nerve cells and is involved in numerous metabolic processes. A magnesium deficiency can lead to muscle cramps, especially in the calves, and concentration disorders. The heart muscle is also supported by magnesium in its function.
Composition
based on 10 ml of concentrate = 1 ampoule
5000 mg magnesium sulfate 7 water
5000 mg of bitter salt
493.05 mg magnesium ion
20.29 mmol magnesium ion
+ Water for injection purposes
+ Sulfuric acid for pH value adjustment
Contradictions
What speaks against an application?- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- AV block (disturbed heartbeat when transferring from the atrium to the chamber)
- Current conduction disorder at heart
- Nerve disease with sagging muscle (Myasthenia Gravis)
- Hereditary disease of the muscles (myopathy)
- Limited kidney function
- Tendency to form kidney stones
- Slow pulse (bradycardia)
- Missing urine excretion
- Drying out
What about pregnancy and lactation?
- Pregnancy: Contact your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Still -time: Contact your doctor or pharmacist. He will check your special starting position and advise you accordingly whether and how you can continue with breastfeeding.
If the medicine has been prescribed to you despite a counter -notification, speak to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit can be higher than the risk of using the application.

- Breathing disorders
- Low blood pressure
- Missing or reduced tendon reflexes
- Flattening or reduction in breathing by impairing respiratory control
- Reactions at the puncture site
- Thirst
- Palpitations
- Heart complaints with accelerated pulse (heart racing)
- Sleepiness
- Confusion
- Itching
- Skin rash
- Too high potassium content in the blood
- Extended bleeding time
- Visual disturbances
- Slowing of heart and breathing activity
- Venue irritation (reversible)

For information at this point, side effects are taken into account that occurs in at least one of 1,000 patients treated.
