Field of use

• The preparation is a medicine from the group of laxatives for the treatment of chronic constipation in adolescents, adults and older patients. It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
• Macrogol helps you have comfortable bowel movements, even if you have suffered from constipation for a long time.
• If you don't feel better or even feel worse, contact your doctor.

Contraindications

• The preparation must not be taken
  • if you are allergic to macrogol 3350, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • with a perforated intestinal wall
  • if you have an intestinal blockage (intestinal obstruction, ileus)
  • in severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as: B. Ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
• Adults, children (12 years and older) and older patients:
  • The recommended dose for constipation is 1 sachet 1 to 3 times daily depending on your individual needs.
• Use in children (under 12 years)
  • The product is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. Other products are available for this age group.

 

• Duration of application
  • The duration of use for constipation should normally not be longer than 2 weeks.
  • On your doctor's advice, you may need to take the medicine for more than 2 weeks if you have persistent constipation or a disease that causes constipation (such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis), or if you regularly take others take constipation-promoting medications. In these cases, your doctor may advise you to reduce the dose to one sachet once or twice a day.

 

• If you have taken more than you should
  • You may have very severe diarrhea, which can lead to dehydration of the body. If this occurs, stop taking it and drink plenty of fluids. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

 

• If you forget to take it
  • If you forget to take a dose, take the dose as soon as you remember. Continue use at the intended dosage. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

 

• If you stop taking it
  • To get the most benefit, always take your medicine as directed or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. This will ensure that your constipation is resolved, otherwise the symptoms you are suffering from may continue.
  • If your symptoms worsen or do not improve, you should see a doctor.

 

• If you have any further questions about taking this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

• This medicine can be taken at any time and without regard to food.
• Open the bag and pour the contents into a glass. Add approximately 125 ml of water. Stir until the powder is completely dissolved and the solution is clear or slightly cloudy. Now you can drink the solution.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • You should continue to drink enough fluids while taking it. The liquid content of the preparation does not replace your regular fluid intake.
  • If you develop side effects such as swelling, shortness of breath, tiredness, dehydration (symptoms include increased thirst, dry mouth and weakness) or heart problems, you should stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor immediately.

 

• Ability to drive and use machines
  • The preparation has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• The medicine can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
