- Intestinal obstruction
- Narrowing of the digestive tract, e.g., of the esophagus, stomach, or small or large intestine
- Perforation of the stomach or intestine or risk of perforation
- Toxic megacolon (dangerous dilation of the large intestine, accompanied by fever, etc., and a complication, e.g., B. can occur in inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis)
