Application Notes

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Type of application?
Apply the medicine to the affected skin area(s). Then rub the medicine in gently. The area(s) treated with the medicine should be covered with a bandage.
Wash your hands thoroughly after use.
Avoid accidental contact with eyes.

Duration of use?
Use should be continued until symptoms have resolved. If you experience symptoms again after completing treatment, please contact your doctor.

Overdose?
So far no overdose symptoms are known. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active substance belongs to the group of antiseptics and has an antibacterial and antifungal effect. Clipquinol is used to treat bacterial and fungal skin infections.

Contraindications

What speaks against an application?

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Allergy to iodine
- Otitis media

Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist about this:
- Thyroid disease, with long-term use

The medicine is not suitable for use on the conjunctiva of the eye.

What age group do you need to consider?
- Babies and small children under 2 years of age: The medicine may only be used after consulting a doctor or under medical supervision.

What about pregnancy and lactation?
- Pregnancy: The medicine must not be used.
- Breast-feeding: the drug must not be used.

If you have been prescribed the drug despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit can be higher than the risk that the use entails in the event of a contraindication.
