Instructions for use

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

How should I use it?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g., 1 glass of water).

Duration of use?
You should not use the medicine for longer than 7 days without medical advice. If symptoms persist or worsen, you should consult your doctor.

Overdose?
An overdose may cause abdominal pain, vomiting, and drowsiness, among other things. If you suspect an overdose, consult a doctor immediately.

Forgotten a dose?
Continue taking the medicine as usual at the next prescribed time (i.e., do not take twice the dose).

Mode of action

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

The active ingredient relieves the urge to cough by occupying certain binding sites in the airways, thereby preventing irritation from being transmitted and causing us to cough constantly. In addition, the active ingredient dilates the bronchi and relaxes the muscles in the respiratory tract.

Contraindications

What are the contraindications?

- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Cough with heavy mucus production
- Reduced function of the cilia in the respiratory tract, such as in:
- Kartagener syndrome
- Ciliary dyskinesia
- Severely impaired liver function

Which age group should be considered?
- Children under 12 years of age: The medicine should generally not be used in this group. There are preparations that are more suitable in terms of active ingredient strength and/or dosage form.
- Elderly patients: This medicine should be used with particular caution.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: This medicine must not be used.
- Breastfeeding: This medicine must not be used.
