Field of use
Levocetirizin-ratiopharm 5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 50 pc) is used to treat allergies.
It is used to treat symptoms in allergic diseases such as
- Hay fever
- year old allergies such as house dust or pet allergies
- chronic hives

Levocetirizin-ratiopharm 5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 50 pc) contains:
The active ingredient is levocetirizindihydrochloride.
Each film -coated tablet contains 5 mg levocetirizindihydrochloride, corresponding to 4.2 mg levocetirizin.
The other components are: Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, high-disperse silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (ph.eur.) (E572). Film coating: hypromellosis (E464), titanium dioxide (E171) and Macrogol 400.
Contradictions
In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above-mentioned ingredients, if they are allergic to levocetirizindihydrochloride, Cetirizin, hydroxyzin or one of the other components of this drug if their kidney function is severely restricted (heavy renal insufficiency with creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min) this medicine cannot be taken. For children under the age of 6, the use of levocetirineratiopharm is not recommended.

Application recommendation of Levocetirizin-ratiopharm 5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 50 pc):
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this package insert or take precisely after instruction from your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults and children from 6 years:
The recommended dose for adults and children from the age of 6 is 1 film -coated tablet daily.
Special dosage instructions for certain patient groups
Kidney and liver disorders:
Patients with severely restricted kidney function must not take levocetirineratiopharm®.
Patients with restricted kidney function as well as patients with limited liver and kidney function may receive a lower dose that depends on the severity of kidney disease and in children in addition to the body weight. The dose is determined by your doctor.
Patients with exclusively limited liver function should take the recommended dose (1 film -coated tablet daily).
Older patients aged 65 and over:
If the kidney function is normal, no dose adjustment is required in older patients.

- Wateriness and ability to operate machines
- In some patients, sleepiness/drowsiness, tiredness and fatigue can occur under therapy. Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machines until you know how this medicine works for you.
- In special studies, however, no impairment of the attention, the reaction and the driving ability of healthy test subjects were determined by taking levocetirine in the recommended dosage.
