Field of use

Levocetirizin-ratiopharm 5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pc) are used with the active ingredient levocetirizindihydrochloride for the treatment of allergies.

It is used to treat symptoms in allergic diseases such as hay fever, house dust or pet allergies and chronic hives.

Mode of action

Levocetirizin-ratiopharm® 5 mg not only inhibits the effect of histamine, but also offers an anti-inflammatory effect.
One tablet a day is sufficient to relieve the symptoms over the entire day.

Ingredients of Levocetirizin-ratiopharm 5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pc):

Active ingredient: levocetirizindihydrochloride

Each film -coated tablet contains 5 mg levocetirizindihydrochloride, corresponding to 4.2 mg levocetirizin.

The other components are:
Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, high-disperse silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (Ph. EUR.) (E572)
Film coating: hypromellosis (E464), titanium dioxide (E171) and Macrogol 400

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.

dosage

The recommended dose for adults and children from the age of 6 is 1 film -coated tablet daily.
For children under the age of 6, the application of Levocetirizin-ratiopharm 5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pc) is not recommended.

Taking

The tablet should be taken with water. The intake can be taken or regardless of meals.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the preparation
    • If you suffer from a limited kidney function, please ask your doctor for advice; If necessary, you will take a lower dose. Your doctor will set the new dose.
    • If you may not be able to completely empty your bubble (such as a spinal cord injury or an enlarged prostate), please ask your doctor for advice.
    • If you are epilepsy patients or there is a seizure of seizures, please ask your doctor for advice, as the application of the preparation could strengthen seizures.
    • If you plan to have an allergy test carried out, you should ask your doctor if you should interrupt the application of the preparation several days before the test. This medicine can influence the result of your allergy test.
  • Children

  • In some patients, sleepiness/drowsiness, tiredness and fatigue can occur under therapy. Caution is advised when driving or operating machines until you know how this medicineneimers works for them.
  • In special studies, however, no impairment of the attention, the reaction and the driving ability of healthy test subjects were determined by taking levocetirine in the recommended dosage.
