What is the active substance in levocetirizine?
Levocetirizine inhibits the reaction of the messenger histamine and thus prevents the usual allergy symptoms. Pharmacodynamic studies in healthy volunteers show that levocetirizine has an effect comparable to that of cetirizine at half the dose, both in the skin and in the nose.

How is LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC^® used?
The recommended dose of LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC^® for adults, adolescents and children over the age of 6 is 1 film-coated tablet daily. You take these whole, with water and independently of meals.
The dose should be adjusted in people with impaired kidney function.

How long is LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC^® used?
Do not take LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC^® for more than 3 days without talking to your doctor. If your symptoms worsen or have not improved after 3 days, medical advice is required.

If you have severe kidney problems or are allergic to levocetirizine, cetirizine, hydroxyzine or any other ingredient in this medicine, you must not use LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC^® . What are the side effects of LEVOCETIRIZIN ADGC^®?

Contraindications

Levocetirizine ADGC 5 mg film-coated tablets (pack size: 100 pieces) must not be taken,
- if you are allergic to levocetirizine dihydrochloride, cetirizine, hydroxyzine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- if your kidney function is severely impaired (severe renal insufficiency with a creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min).

Warnings and Precautions
